Concrete Cancer & Repairs
Treating the signs and symptoms of concrete spalling.
What is it?
Concrete cancer, also known as spalling or concrete decay, is a common problem that is caused by the corrosion of steel reinforcing bars within concrete. As the steel corrodes, it causes the surrounding concrete to crack due to rust expansion. If left unrepaired, this can have a serious and dangerous impact on the structure of a building.
